Osama Bin Laden is dead.

And people are celebrating and so excited.

And all I can think about is that he was a person too and even though he supposedly killed all those people, it doesn't really give you the right to kill him/celebrate his death.

I don't know. Would you really be that happy if someone was killed? I'm just reminded of my hate for how the world works.

I don't celebrate anyone's dead. I didn't celebrate Hussein's death, and I won't celebrate this. It makes me sick how bloodthirsty people get.

THANK YOU. This is exactly what I've been thinking the past few hours.

Video of Middle Eastern people burning American flags... video of people cheering a man's death. What's the difference?

You're right, a lot of people will just celebrate carnage for its own sake, but a lot more people are celebrating the fact that a mass murderer has been brought to justice.

Bin Laden orchestrated the murder of thousands of innocent civilians and boasted about it. He never showed any remorse for his actions, and presumably planned to continue killing whenever he was able.

Bin Laden was a criminal, and he died in an attempt to bring him to justice. If a serial killer was terrorizing your neighborhood, and he was killed in a police standoff, would you mourn his death?

I respect your opinion, but I am not the least bit upset that a terrorist is dead. If his death prevents the death of even one innocent person, then in my opinion, it is a good thing.

I disagree with the thought that Bin Laden's death will somehow stop all of the killing. I think that this will just fuel the fire and make Al Qaeda (sp?) more inspired.

I'm so glad to find others who aren't celebrating. I'm horrified by the complete lack of due process. Even the Nazi sick-o's who openly killed MILLIONS were given their day in court. They were still hanged, but only after due process was followed. Without due process you don't have justice - you have murder.
